How To Care For Your Lenses

Please find below, some information on how to care for your lenses

How to care for your lenses
  • Always start by washing and drying your hands before handling your Contact Lenses.
  • Remove your Contact Lense from its packaging and soak in Contact Lens solution for two hours prior to use.
  • DO wash, rinse and dry your hands thoroughly before handling your Contact Lens.
  • DO insert your Contact Lenses before applying eye make-up.
  • DO use fresh solution every time to clean and store your Lenses.
  • DO stop using the Contact Lens if your eyes become red, sore or itchy. Remove immediately from the eye.
  • DO throw away your Contact Lenses after the recommended wear period.
  • DO build up the wear time of your Contact Lenses. We recommend the following: Start with 2 hours on the first day, increasing the time by two hours on each consecutive day, to a maximum of 8 hours per day. For Daily products and Mini Sclera we recommend no longer than 5-6 hours. We recommend 2-3 hours wear time for Blind accessories under adult assistance.


  • DO NOT use tap or purified water to clean or soak your Contact Lenses. None of these will disinfect nor properly clean your lenses. Always use a recommended solution.
  • DO NOT handle your with sharp nails as they can easily tear.
  • DO NOT expose your Contact Lenses to excessive heat i.e. Hairdryer.
  • DO NOT use the Contact Lenses if you are suffering from any form of eye infection or irritation.
  • DO NOT wear your Contact Lenses longer than the recommended use. 8hrs maximum wear (For daily products dispose after one day. Maximum 5-6 hrs use)
  • DO NOT sleep whilst wearing your Contact Lenses.
  • DO NOT insert your Contact Lenses immediately after using sprays or aerosols, which may linger in the air and affect your Contact Lenses.
  • DO NOT wear your Contact Lenses whilst swimming or during water sports.

Blind Contact Lenses: please note due to the style of these contact lenses and how they cover the pupil they offer only 20% vision. You will not be able to see clearly out of these Contact Lenses. Do not wear these Contact Lenses whilst performing any tasks that require clear vision. Blind Contact Lenses should never be worn for more than 2-3 hours per day

How to insert your lenses
  1. Inspect your Contact Lens before inserting into the eye.
  2. Ensure your hands are clean and dry
  3. Start by applying your Contact Lens into your right eye.
  4. Place the Lens on the tip of your forefinger making sure your Contact Lens is placed in the correct way up.
  5. Place the middle finger of the same hand close to your lower lid. With the middle finger of your other hand, raise your upper eye lid.
  6. Look up at the ceiling or straight ahead and gently place the Contact Lens in to the lower part of your eye.
  7. Gently release your eye lid and close your eye for a moment…..and then blink. It will centre itself automatically.
  8. Repeat procedure on the left eye.
  9. Ensure your Contact Lens is centred in both eyes and that you are able to see clearly with no irritation or discomfort.

How to check your lens is the right way out: Place the Eye Accessory on your index finger. Look at it, if it is curved upward, like a bowl then it is the correct way out.

How to remove your lenses
  1. Ensure your hands are clean and dry before removing your lenses.
  2. Start by removing your Contact Lens from your right eye.
  3. Look up at the ceiling and pull down your lower eye lid with your middle finger.
  4. Bring your forefinger close to your eye until you touch the lower edge of your Contact Lens. Then slide lens down to the bottom of your eye.
  5. Gently squeeze the Contact Lens between your thumb and index finger and remove it.
  6. Place your Contact Lens into the storage case before removing the Contact Lens from your other eye. (For Daily use Contact Lenses, please dispose of the Contact Lenses and do not re use).
  7. Repeat the procedure on the left eye.
