How to prep your new contact lenses
Before we meet the new designs, let's have a quick recap on how to properly prepare your new lenses so that they remain comfortable throughout wear.
As our newest products all feature a daily duration, maintenance in between wear isn’t necessary, as they are designed for single-use only and should be disposed of once removed. However, this does not mean that your daily lenses don’t require a certain level of preparation and care. Once received, your lenses should be removed from their blister pack or vial, inserted into a sterile contact lens case and left to soak in fresh multipurpose saline solution for contacts.
This process should be completed at least 2 hours before you plan to insert contacts. The solution that the lenses sit in within the blister pack or glass vial is of a high pH level; by inserting your lenses straight from this solution, you can cause the eye to become very irritated, resulting in a particularly uncomfortable experience. Once you have soaked your lenses for at least the minimum recommended time, you’re ready to insert your lenses, but remember to always handle them with clean hands.
