Happy New Year, and what a year we have had at Funky Lenses! 2025 has been one to remember, with so many different, exciting, and creative parts that stick out to us. This year, we have been so lucky to collaborate with so many different creators, from cosplayers and creative makeup artists to real Halloween enthusiasts; it has been great to see our contact lenses play a part in each of these creations. In this blog, we will be taking a look back on the best bits from 2025 before we take a proper step into the new year and all that is to come from it!

In 2025, we're all about our contact lenses and making the most of both the natural and costume designs that are provided. However, we were also celebrating our range of SFX makeup and accessories, and our selection of contact lens accessories UK, US, and beyond. Near the beginning of the year, we launched our 3 for £5 Accessories Sale, which provides customers with the ability to get their hands on a wide selection of necessary items at a bargain!

From contact lens safety to smooth makeup applications, the two fit perfectly together, but it’s important you’ve got the correct tools to hand. Using a contact lens inserter is not only an easier option for many, but it is also hygienic. A contact lens case is a necessity for all types of contact lenses, whether disposable lenses or extended wear contact lenses; all lenses should be soaked in a fresh multipurpose solution within a contact lens case before inserting and wearing them. The travel case kit is perfect whether you’re on the go or not, providing a convenient option to keep your contact lenses safe!
If you like to create crazy and intricate makeup designs, then you’ll know the importance of different makeup applicators. From varying sizes to varying surfaces, our collection of makeup wedges and sponges includes a selection of different shapes, many inspired by the shape of different fruits, making them extremely versatile during your application. From rounded sponges and tiny eggs to flat applicators and powder puffs, we have everything you need to set your work in place!
Throughout the year, we have had many opportunities to work alongside some of our favourite creators who have worked hard to bring to life a variety of different SFX makeup ideas achievable at different skill levels. We have also worked with a selection of cosplayers who have taken and worn the Funky Lenses contacts at some of the biggest conventions across the globe!
UK makeup artist, @leahcomptonn, has been a Funky Lenses affiliate since the end of 2024 and throughout 2025 has been creating a variety of creative looks alongside our contact lenses. Makeup trends were very popular throughout the past year, with creative applications such as cake face makeup and the yarn makeup trend becoming the most popular looks of the year. Leah created a look for each of these trends using the Funky Lenses contacts to complete the look. Valentine’s Day called for the cake face makeup trend, in which Leah created a pink and red design complemented with ice gems and pearls; the result was complete with the use of the Monster Red Cosplay Contact Lenses. Later on in the year, yarn makeup became the latest trend to have a go at; Leah created a red and white spiral look, complete with the matching Spiral Red Contact Lenses.
We have also worked closely with many other artists, such as @emmaisasink, who has been busy over the past year creating a selection of different cosplay looks and creative makeup looks. During Pride month, Emma put our Rainbow Multicoloured Cosplay Lenses to the test and created a bold Pride cracker look. The rainbow contact lenses make the perfect finishing touch for many different colourful looks, but are particularly popular during Pride season.
Cosplay season was a very exciting time as we had the pleasure of working with many cosplayers across the globe. French cosplayer @debysaventures_ brought to life several different characters using the Funky Lenses contacts, such as Mel Medarda from League of Legends in the Air Optix Pure Hazel lenses, and Saeko Busujima from Highschool of the Dead, wearing the Purple Blend Natural Contact Lenses. The Funky Lenses cosplay world also saw some other iconic creations, such as the Cheshire Cat by @tearose.cos in the Cheshire Cat Cosplay Contact Lenses, and this Tails cosplay look from Sonic The Hedgehog by @ashen.ember wearing the Super Sky Blue Contact Lenses.
Halloween was a very exciting time for all of us at Funky Lenses; we were overwhelmed with the amazing creativity that came from this time of year! We worked with a selection of creators to produce eye-catching content, including tutorials that were perfect for the spooky season. One of the makeup artists we worked with, @beatzbybritt, created a spooky china doll look, complete with the Zombie White Contact Lenses, the most popular contacts of 2025! This look brought style and spookiness together as one during Halloween and was a popular option for recreation.
The Zombie White Contact Lenses were particularly popular during 2025 and have come out as our best-selling design of the year! Whilst these remain a simple contact lens, the solid white pigment allows them to stand out boldly on any natural eye colour and against any skin tone. These zombie white out contact lenses are a great option if you plan to increase the terrifying appearance of your look, or maybe you need a subtle touch to show your character’s supernatural side. Either way, these all white contacts provide versatility and are available in both daily and monthly durations to suit your needs!
To complete our look back on 2025, we can’t go without mentioning Funky Lenses 2025 introductions. Last year, we launched a selection of new contact lenses. Including new colours, new designs, and new strengths! We were so pleased to finally introduce a selection of our contact lenses available in our prescription strengths. The prescription contacts are available in many of our different contact lens designs, including both natural and costume designs, and provide even more users with the ability to change their natural eye colour as and when they desire with ease and simplicity. Lastly, don’t forget to check out our newest natural and UV-reactive contact lenses! The natural range has been inspired by a range of natural elements such as jewels, nature, and cosmic, whilst the UV lenses are a brand new look compared to the rest of our UV range, providing a bold colour and appearance in both daylight and under UV reactive black light.
