How To Use Contact Lens Solution

1. How to prepare contact lenses- when you receive your lenses, as we’ve already mentioned, they’ll be packaged in harsh preserving liquid. For this reason, they need to be rinsed off and soaked in an eye-safe solution before use. All you need to do is take the lenses out of their packaging with clean hands, and rinse them in your contact lens solution, rubbing them gently between your fingers. Once clean, you can put the lenses in a sterile contact lens case with some more lens solution. Leave the lenses to soak for 2 hours, then they’ll be ready for use.

2. How to clean contact lenses- once you’ve worn your lenses, you have two options. If the lenses are single-use (daily or 1-day lenses), you can throw them out. If the lenses are reusable (30-day or 90-day lenses), you’ll need to keep them around. After a full day’s wear, however, you’ll need to clean them so that you can make sure they’re free of bacteria and ready for your next use. All you need to do is rinse the lenses with the solution again, rubbing them gently with your fingers.

3. How to store contact lenses- cleaned off your contact lenses? Now you’ll need to store them before your next use. It’s simple- just pop your clean lenses into a sterile contact lens case, top up with a little eye-safe solution, and close the lid. If you don’t wear the lenses for a week or more, replace the contact lens solution. This will keep them fresh for as long as you need.
