Happy October, everyone! As we get closer and closer to Halloween, we’ve been seeing so many iconic makeup looks on our socials, from spooky and gory slasher makeup to film and pop culture cosplays. Since spooky season is underway, we figured it was time to spotlight one of our favourites, so that you can be inspired to create your very own Halloween look!

Today’s feature is a Spider-Man makeup look from our affiliate @leahcomptonn. We’ve been seeing plenty of Spider-Man makeup looks in the wake of Spider-Man: Brand New Day coming out, but this is by far the best. • Step 1- The first thing you want to do is lay down your base. In this case, Leah applies regular makeup to the parts of her face that are going to be uncovered, and then she puts a full coat of red paint on the parts that are going to be covered. She then sketches out her shapes in black and goes over the red with a scale design in grey to mimic the suit texture. For these bold patches of colour, you could use our Mehron SFX Paradise Makeup Palette in Tropical, with the perfect deep red and blue pigments for this look.

  • Step 2- Add in your black details. Leah uses a thin brush of black paint to draw on her eye outline and black spiderweb lines, as well as the central spider design on the chest. This is also the point to add cute details like the spider on Leah’s cheek.

  • Step 3- Add in your white details. Leah adds highlights with white face paint, creating 3D movement around all the webs and around the eye. For this, you could use one of our Paintglow face paints or face sticks. We recommend the Paintglow UV White Face Paint Stick, which will give you a super-cool glowing spider-web design under blacklight!

  • Step 4- Time for the lips! Leah does a really cool Spider-Man lip by using red and blue pigment, setting it, and then going over the colours with a smaller spiderweb design in black and white.

  • Step 5- Now the lenses, our favourite part! For this look, Leah is using our White Blind Contact Lenses for one of her eyes, adding to the asymmetrical ripped-suit look.

  • Step 6- Finally, add your finishing touches. Some glitter, liner for the other eye, a little white paint surrounding the blinded eye, and so on. Anything you want!

Your Spider-Man look is complete!
